| 2 | "Death at Wangaratta. A sad death occurred at Wangaratta yesterday morning, when Mr William Frederick HOYSTED, died at the public hospital, after an illness of ten days duration. Mr HOYSTED was well known as the courteous mail contractor between Wangaratta and Yarrawonga, and naturally his unexpected death has come as a shock to his numerous relatives and friends. The late Mr HOYSTED was 33 years of age, and was the eldest son of Mr and Mrs Wm HOYSTED, of "Punchestown," Taminick. Up till three years ago he had lived at Taminick, but on taking over the mail contract he came to reside in Wangaratta. He was well known and held in high esteem. He married Miss Mary LINDSAY, of Taminick, and she is left with one daughter, four years of age, to mourn her sad loss. Brothers of deceased are Messrs Hector HOYSTED, Wangaratta; Rupert and Claude, of Taminick and sisters are Mrs R SAYERS, of Thoona; Mrs U GIBSON, Thoona; and Miss Hope HOYSTED, of Taminick. Deep sympathy is expressed for the wife and parents in their bereavement. The funeral will take place today, when the remains will be interred in the Wangaratta cemetery, the arrangements being in the hands of Mr G V STEELE."
